Breathing

Breathing starts when we are born and ends when life ceases. As it is usually automatic, most of us assume that it is beyond our active control but that is not true. If we want to have a healthy life, yoga can give us that through the pránáyáma techniques.
Pránáyáma means the control of prana and prana is the essence that pervades the Universe, the prime mover of all activity, the principle of life and consciousness.
Pránáyáma techniques affect not only the physical and physiological energies but also the psychological and cerebral activities. These exercises increase the lungs capacity, develop a steady mind, strong will-power and connect body, mind and soul.
